On December 25, 2006, Ryan Waller and Heather Quan were victims of a home invasion in Phoenix, Arizona. Heather sadly lost her life, and Ryan was treated like a suspect. After hours of sitting in a police car and being interrogated by police in what became a viral video, Ryan finally received medical care for a bullet in his brain.
What came after was years of fighting to put the real suspects behind bars, and justice for the irreversible damage done to Ryan’s body due to the lack of care from the Phoenix Police Department. As long as Ryan’s dad, Don, continues to fight for his son, we will continue to tell his story.
